Equal opportunity & diversity
Equal Opportunity
About 35% percent of the PHGS members are female researchers, around 65% are male, and a few are diverse. The PHGS has set itself the goal of contributing to a significant increase in the proportion of female members in the graduate school, and also to increase the number of women who decide to continue their career in science after the completion of their doctorate. In order to make this possible, the PHGS participates in the mentoring programme "dynaMENT doctorate" where the PHGS offers its own events on the topic, as well as trainings especially for women. The PHGS also aims to embed its activities in existing offers from other institutions for equal opportunities.

Diversity
Diversity in the working world means an appreciative and conscious approach to difference and individuality along dimensions such as gender, origin, age, sexual orientation, religion and physical and mental abilities. The PHGS is committed to diversity and wants to live it in its activities and offerings.
