Four Winners of the PHGS Travel Awards 2024

The PIER Helmholtz Graduate School (PHGS) is delighted to present the four winners of the PHGS Travel Awards 2024. This year´s winners are Alessio Miscioscia (DESY Theory Group), Christina Schwemmbauer (ALPS), Lovisa Rygaard (CMS), and David Leppla-Weber (ALPS). We congratulate the four members of PHGS who have been selected for their remarkable contributions to their field of research during their doctoral studies.

How to get help - 2nd annual Mental Health event of DESY and UHH

On Tuesday, 13 February 2024 we hosted our 2nd annual Mental Health information event for Doctoral Researchers and Postdocs of DESY and University of Hamburg. During this 2-hour online event, participants were introduced to help facilities for mental health issues in both institutions and got inputs on the focus topic ‘Basics of Burnout’ from the NGO Dragonfly Mental Health. More than 50 young scientists learned about the contact opportunities in case of mental health issues.
