During the PIER PhD Reception 2024 more than 100 doctoral researchers, their supervisors, friends, relatives, and staff from both DESY and Universität Hamburg attended the event to welcome all new doctoral candidates and to honour the graduates of the PIER Helmholtz Graduate School (PHGS).

We want to celebrate together again this year. On July 17, we would like to welcome you with a glass of sparkling wine or juice starting at 4 p.m. Our program begins at 4:30 p.m. and includes an exciting short lecture by Dr. Moritz Kütz entitled  "Strange Interactions? Physicists in a Policy World".

In addition, we are pleased to bid a festive farewell to the PHGS doctoral researchers who have successfully completed their doctorates since the last PIER PhD Reception. The event will be accompanied by rousing music from a group of musicians from DESY.
