DESY PR is looking for tour guides for visitor tours and knowledge transfer. As a guide, you will take over visitor groups and lead them around the DESY premises. The visitor groups can be very diverse. From a group of schoolchildren on a school trip to Hamburg, to universities and company and leisure groups, to mixed groups on our public tours on Saturdays, our visitors are very diverse. Each person has a maximum of 20 people in tow.

A prerequisite is that your are regularly on the Campus Bahrenfeld, and that you are interested in DESY's research projects and topics. You should be a friendly and enthusiastic person in order to give visitors a lively impression of the work at DESY.

It is an advantage if you speak German. But your German doesn't have to be perfect. There are often guests from abroad who ask for English-language tours.

For full members of the PIER Helmholtz Graduate School applies: Your activity as a DESY Tour Guide can be credited towards the PHGS Curriculum (example: six tours of 90 minutes each are equivalent to 0.5 credit points in category C).
