Can you name special features about your research group?

My group is very international, multi-disciplinary, relaxed and rigorous.

Can you describe in one or two sentences what you particularly like (most) about your current academic/working environment?

Everyone has a strong reserve of professional knowledge and offers support.

Which offers of the PHGS did you already use?

So far, I joined the onboarding meeting with Stefanie Tepass. I made use of the Buddy Program, attended skills trainings and German and English language classes. Apart from this, I also signed up for courses/events for women such as the Women’s Career Day, the PIER PhD Seminar, the PIER Graduate Week and the PIER Lunch Talk.

How did you benefit from the offers of PHGS? From which 2-3 offers have you benefited the most and in what way?

The PHGS offers many networking opportunities and I can learn more about related research areas.

Can you describe in one or two sentences why you think the PHGS is a useful institution for doctoral students?

The PHGS is providing a lot of opportunities and classes with different topics. Moreover, it supports students to travel and find orientation regarding their career lives.

What is/are your favorite place/s in Hamburg (and why)?

My favorite place is the Elbe because of the beautiful view and its relaxing environment.

Can you describe in one or two sentences what you particularly like (most) about your life in Hamburg or Hamburg as a city?

You can make friends from all over the world and travel easily to other countries in Europe or within Germany.

Please finish the following sentence: I never regret to have come to Hamburg because…

… this is an open and inclusive international city, whether you want to pursue prosperity or absolute precision, you can easily find it here.

Thank you very much, Jili, and all the best for your doctoral studies!
